On June 13, as a result of enemy shelling, the roof of the main building of the children’s boarding house in Bilopyl, Sumy Oblast, was damaged.
Wards were evacuated to temporary shelters, it is necessary to close the roof urgently to avoid further damage to the rooms.
122 young people with disabilities (boys under the age of 35) permanently live in the boarding school. Minor children were evacuated at the beginning of the war, and the youth remained in their home boarding school.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack, but the building’s roof was severely damaged.
The administration of the boarding school received a request for urgent help in the purchase of 700 sheets of slate to cover the roof and reduce damage to the premises during periods of rain. The total cost of such a quantity of building material is 250,000 hryvnias.
The fund launched a fundraiser and managed to collect more than 175,000 hryvnias in almost a week. The balance was covered with the funds of the fund’s benefactors – the companies KIDDISVIT and AV Metal Group.
The first part of the aid (200 sheets of slate) has already been delivered and is being installed on the roof. Another 300 letters have already been purchased and are on their way to the boarding school.
