Graduates of boarding schools. A good start for Asya and Snizhana

Entering college or university is an important step for every young person. This is a psychologically difficult stage that requires the support of parents and close people.

Graduates of boarding schools, who have lived for years in an isolated space, both territorially and informationally, are often completely unprepared for new challenges.

Asya and Snizhana are boarding school graduates. This year, they started their independent life in the college dormitory. After all, the girls entered the educational institution to learn the profession of a designer. With the support of society, they will be able to earn money and be useful. But it is difficult to call Ukrainian society inclusive, because the opportunities of people with disabilities are limited.

To help our girls in their studies, we bought the necessary equipment for them, gave them specialized equipment and stationery for acquiring professional skills. We also helped to arrange their room so that our wards felt comfortable.

It is important for us to stay close to the wards of boarding schools. Especially with graduates, because this is a turning point in their lives. These children face not only the usual difficulties and worries for us, they also experience their own health problems. They are left alone with it. But Ukraine strives to create an inclusive society, so it is necessary to create conditions for the self-realization of persons with disabilities.

We are always close to our wards and ready to help. And we want the world to know about their stories!
