Even before the full-scale invasion, we came to this hospital to implement the “Happiness Room” project in Zaporizhzhia. And after 16 months of difficult confrontation of the front-line city – we succeeded!
We opened the first furnished “Happiness Room” in the 5th city children’s hospital of Zaporizhia
What is important, this Zaporizhia hospital accepts children not only from Zaporizhia, but also from other districts and communities. So now the children who are waiting for the decisions of the courts and social services and undergoing examination will have their own space for games and psychological rehabilitation.
This is a room where every child who finds himself in difficult circumstances and without parents can for a while forget about the war and problems in the family. For children who have been removed from their families, this is sometimes the only opportunity to restore their psycho-emotional state. After all, fear, tears, misunderstanding, detachment from the environment, closing in on oneself are the usual state for this little one.
Today, during the war, it is extremely important not to forget about such children! Because rockets fly above them and bombs explode, but there is no one to support them. They themselves cope with their experiences!
“Happiness Room” is a space where a child can work with psychologists, develop his sports and creative abilities, study and play, relieve emotional tension after years of living in inhumane conditions!
Everything we have done is ONLY the FIRST part for now. Another part of the room will be renovated! And also, we are already preparing a plan for activities with children there!
