The real 1st of : the story of a 6-year-old orphan girl from Zaporizhzhia

6-year-old Eva is raised under the care of her grandmother. They live in Zaporizhzhia near the front.

The child’s mother suffers from drug addiction, so the girl is raised by her grandmother. It was the grandmother who took her grandson out of shelling to Poland. However, the child was often sick and the family was forced to return to their native Zaporizhzhia, under constant shelling and air raids. Grandma was not accepted back to work, so they survive as best they can. These two have no relatives or support.

This year, the girl entered the first grade. Ms. Olena, the girl’s guardian, wanted more than anything for the child to have a real first Day of Knowledge. After all, this is a day that every child remembers. Therefore, Ms. Olena turned to us for help, even though it was inconvenient for her. With the support of benefactors, the foundation bought all the necessary stationery for the girl: pencils, pens, notebooks and her first diary! Also school clothes and shoes. And, of course, toys, because Eva is only 6 years old.

And thanks to philanthropist Olga Ovchinnikova, Eva will have a laptop for blended learning and warm clothes. Every year, Olga, celebrating her birthday, gives a gift to an orphan child. Thank you!

Such stories are proof that we should change children’s lives for the better every day. After all, every child deserves to live in support, love and safety, and orphans need our special attention. They are our future, and their dreams deserve to be realized.
